News Flash, March 15

Deb Meredith will be at Maracuja in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (279 Grand Street, between Roebling and Havemayer) doing a reading/fundraiser for Friends of the Williamsburgh Library tonight at 5 PM.

Meredith is excited about her review in Mystery Scene magazine which called Posed for Murder a “solid debut” with “a fascinating premise”. And she also liked her review at http://www.frontstreetreviews.com/ which says I “could become a force to be reckoned with in the mystery genre.”

And Meredith will be going home to Charlottesville, VA for the Virginia Festival of the Book next weekend. You can catch her on the Thrills and Chills panel during Crime Wave at 10 AM Saturday, March 21st.

Deb Katie Alender invites you to become a fan of BAD GIRLS DON’T DIE at its new Facebook page!

Deb Eve got a GLOWING review in the latest edition of Kirkus Reviews. They call FIRST COMES LOVE, THEN COMES MALARIA,”A laugh-out-loud debut … The book’s hilarity is grounded by the author’s serious commitment to aid work, her reflections on raising her daughter in a third-world country and her informed, balanced portrayal of the Ugandan people … The book is as revealing as it is entertaining.”

Congratulations to Jamie Ford, who recently guest blogged for us, on being featured on “Borders Presents”–see the video and learn more about his debut novel, HOTEL ON THE CORNER OF BITTER AND SWEET, by clicking here. (Deb Katie recently had a chance to meet Jamie when his tour brought him through Los Angeles, and if she hadn’t already owned his book, hearing the excerpt would have compelled her to buy it immediately!)

And speaking of Jamie, Deb Kristina is reading HOTEL ON THE CORNER OF BITTER AND SWEET, and finding it to be engaging and tender.
