From the 2015 Debs…

Colleen Oakley spent Friday and Saturday this week in Norfolk, Va. at SIBA, the conference for the Southern Independent Booksellers Association. It was her first “official” book signing, and she realized all those hours spent practicing her signature in middle school finally paid off. Also, the large print rights to Before I Go were sold this week to Thorndike, so now Colleen’s mom will be able read the book without using her glasses. (Just kidding — she’ll probably still need them.)

Amy E. Reichert officially signed her contract and has been added to her agency’s website (scroll down to the Rs). Yes, celebrating every little step is important!

Karma Brown is happy her latest project (book two) is starting to take shape, and that the Scrivener file is no longer empty. She also got a sneak peek at the cover art for Come Away with Me (and promptly did the Kermit flail), and can’t wait to share it with everyone — soon!

Sona Charaipotra was thrilled (and surprised — surreal!) to learn that Tiny Pretty Things is now officially available for pre-order on both Amazon.com, and on KOBO, which she’s linked to her uber-awesome local bookstore, WORD. So of course, she’s pre-ordered a copy from each, to be delivered on May 26. Whooohoo! Now to wait, oh, uh, eight months or so.

Shelly King is currently on vacation in Ashland, OR, at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She visited many bookstores during the week and signed lots of books. On Friday night, Bloomsbury Books (one of her favorite bookstores!) hosted a reading for her.

From past Debs…

Natalia Sylvester is finishing up her book tour for CHASING THE SUN in her hometown of Austin, Texas on September 25th — Congratulations, Natalia!
