From the 2017 Debs:

Lynn K. Hall is utilizing this pre-publication time by working hard on her next book project, a follow-up memoir to Caged Eyes. It’s a wonderful feeling to be immersed back in the business of writer and, for the moment, less in the business of author.

Amy Poeppel highly recommends taking a class at Catapult in NYC. The class she just took, “That’s What She Said” with Elissa Bassist, was terrific – useful, applicable skills and tips for writing short conceptual humor pieces. Meanwhile, Amy is working away on a book trailer for SMALL ADMISSIONS, which will be filmed in mid-October. She went to Housing Works Book Store Tuesday night to hear the fabulous Tiffany Jackson read from her book ALLEGEDLY as part of #bannedbooksweek – A great evening!

Crystal King just scored another country (to be revealed soon) in foreign rights for FEAST OF SORROW, woot! She’s currently reading Tim Weed’s wonderful short story collection A FIELD GUIDE TO MURDER AND FLY-FISHING which is going to be released the week before her own novel. If you love masterful writing and you love a good short story, definitely pre-order that collection now. And she also wants to say that she LOVES the cover of Colleen Oakley’s novel (featured above)!

Jenni L. Walsh is eagerly awaiting a glimpse at her cover for BECOMING BONNIE. Her publisher decided to do a full photoshoot so she knows it’s gonna be the bee’s knees. Ohhh the anticipation!

Tiffany D. Jackson is working frantically on book #2 while coming up with cover concepts. I love mood boards!

Author: Amy Poeppel

Amy Poeppel grew up in Dallas, Texas and left the south to attend Wellesley College. Since then, she has worked as an actor, a high school English teacher, and most recently as the Assistant Director of Admissions at a school in New York City. Her three fabulous boys are all off in Boston attending school, and she and her husband now split their time between New York and Frankfurt, Germany. A theatrical version of SMALL ADMISSIONS was workshopped at the Actors Studio Playwrights/Directors Unit. She later expanded it into her first novel.
