News Flash: Contests, Copy Edits, and Life as Debut Authors!

newsCongratulations to Kellyn McGee, winner of THE MOMENT OF EVERYTHING by our very own Deb, Shelly King!

Check back next Sunday for this week’s winner of a copy of Hillary Monahan‘s debut novel, MARY: THE SUMMONING…

From the 2015 Debs:

Colleen Oakley is busy working on her tour events for BEFORE I GO. A few stops are posted here, with many more to come! And the countdown is ON — less than two months until launch day!

Amy E. Reichert has her copy edits and is very afraid of breaking the document. More importantly, THE COINCIDENCE OF COCONUT CAKE is now on Amazon and Goodreads. Now you can pre-order and add it to your Goodread’s To-Read list!

Karma Brown has written the final chapter of book 2, and now needs to fill in the last 30,000 words or so! Aside from that, she’s trying not to eat all the leftover Halloween candy, get a few brainstorming runs in before the snow flies, and is already thinking about book 3…a writer’s brain is never quiet!

Sona Charaipotra is excited to be digging into first pass pages for TINY PRETTY THINGS — this whole book thing is starting to feel very real. And she and Dhonielle did their first ever Podcast — how cool! — with the lovely ladies at Minorities In Publishing. You can check it out here!

Shelly King is way behind on her word count for NaNoWriMo. Actually, she may include this newsflash in her novel just for the extra words.

The following two tabs change content below.
Karma Brown is the author of COME AWAY WITH ME (MIRA/Harlequin, September 2015), an emotional story of one woman’s discovery that life is still worth living, even if it’s not the life you planned. Karma is also a National Magazine award-winning journalist, and lives outside Toronto, Canada, with her family and their mischievous labradoodle puppy, Fred.
