News from the Class of 2019 Debs:

K.A. Doore was very excited to see The Perfect Assassin among other amazing books in B&N’s Say Hello to 25 Science Fiction & Fantasy Debuts That Will Transform Your 2019 list. It’s always felt pretty real, but now it’s starting to feel a bit surreal!
Devi S. Laskar is trying to organize the chapters she’s already written for Book #2, Shadow Gardens. Thanks for the shout-outs this week The Millions & Lydia Kiesling and also to the Associated Press & Hillel Italie. The Atlas of Reds and Blues comes out Feb. 5.
Layne Fargo finished the proposal for her second book! Now she just has to write it…
Stephanie Jimenez is making good progress on her word count on her second novel and is taking a workshop at Catapult that has been very fun, but she’s not in good health (WHY). Now she’s getting sick again for the second time this year, so please send cough drops, heating pads, and Emergen-C….
Martine Fournier Watson saw her book on a list this week, when she was quite sure the list season would just quietly pass her by. Thank you so much to Early Bird Books for that!

See you next week when we blog about our “bucket list” writing dreams.
