News from the 2018 Debs:

Kaitlyn Sage Patterson is prepping her house for sale. Because apparently, she doesn’t have enough going on right now. Also, she’s given her agent a proposal for what she hopes will be her next project. Fingers crossed!

Cass Morris has, for reasons that aren’t entirely clear, decided to take up bullet journaling. This will either prove marvelously satisfying or will dial her usual levels of neurosis up to 11. Or both.

Lara Lillibridge was very excited to receive her first blurb request for a fabulous memoir that will come into this world in June of 2018. She also thinks that she finally has a viable first draft of her novel. On an unrelated note—her fingers are weird and peeling from a steam burn she nearly forgot that she acquired on Christmas.

Kimmery Martin was in the actual newspaper this morning, answering questions along with seven much more distinguished writers on the process of acquiring a literary agent. You can read it HERE.

Julie Clark Sent off her newest manuscript to her agent and is enjoying her final days of vacation.

See you next week when we talk about writing through distractions.

Author: Julie Clark

Born and raised in Santa Monica, California, Julie Clark grew up reading books on the beach while everyone else surfed. After attending college at University of the Pacific, and a brief stint working in the athletic department at University of California, Berkeley, she returned home to Santa Monica to teach. She now lives there with her two young sons and a golden doodle with poor impulse control. Her debut, THE ONES WE CHOOSE, will be published by Gallery/Simon & Schuster in May 2018.
