Devi S. Laskar is at the Bay Area Book Festival today in Berkeley. She’ll be on the 10a panel “No Happy Endings, No Easy Answers: Seeking Truth Through Trauma” with Kiese Laymon and Lacy M. Johnson and later, moderating the 3:15p panel, “On 21st Century Mothering” with Vanessa Hua, Lydia Kiesling and Dani McClain. Layne Fargo launched a preorder campaign for Temper this week! Everyone who preorders (and fills out this form) gets a bookmark + signed sticker, and you’ll also be entered to win a grand prize pack. Enter any time between now and Temper’s release on July 2nd!
Stephanie Jimenez
Martine Fournier Watson would like to thank The Northshire Bookstore for making The Dream Peddler a staff pick! She also has an interview up with author K. J. Harrowick on her new Debut feature for Hàlön Chronicles, and would like to thank Dianca London Potts for including The Dream Peddler in her list of Enchanting Books for Fans of Fairy Tales for Read It Forward. Seeing her book on a list with the likes of Margaret Atwood, Karen Russell, and Helen Oyeyemi was a mind-blowing experience.

See you next week when we blog about Easter eggs and other inside jokes in our books.
