A full dance card this week for The Debutante Ball!
DEBUT! Honored guests, the time has finally arrived. Debutante Mia King’s Good Things officially debuts on Tuesday! Visit her beautiful new website and her Debutante Ball Page to read all about it, enter her fabulous contests, and hear what the reviewers are saying! Romance Reviews Today just weighed in with: For a debut novel well worth your time, give GOOD THINGS a try.
Congratulations, Mia, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have you as our first. May this year be filled with magical, and very, very good, things!
Debs in Berets! Deb Eileen Cook will have Unpredictable (nee In The Stars) published in France. Mon dieu, it’ll probably even be in French! Felicitations, croissants and cheese for everyone!
Friends of the Debs! The Debutantes are so pleased to announce friend of the site Patry Francis‘s debut The Liar’s Diary came out on Tuesday. Congratulations, Patry, party on! I’m buying that book, and that ain’t no lie!
Friends of the Debs in Hollywood! Friend of the site, Tasha Alexander of Good Girls Kill For Money (which hosted a Mia King cocktail party on Friday!) has been tapped by the powers that be to pen the companion novel to the follow-up of the seven Oscar nominated film “Elizabeth.” The sequel is called “The Golden Age” and will star Cate Blanchett and Clive Owen. (Deb Kristy is trying desperately to worm her way onto the red carpet at the premiere, but it’s not looking too good.) Long live the Queen!
Debs in Good Company! Deb Kristy Kiernan’s Catching Genius has been chosen as an Ingram Reading Group Selection for February, along with Joan Didion’s The Year of Magical Thinking, Linda Olsson’s Astrid and Veronika, Arthur Japin’s In Lucia’s Eyes, Ellen Cooney’s A Private Hotel For Gentle Ladies, and Thrity Umrigar’s The Space Between Us. We’ve looked into it, and apparently this is NOT an elaborate hoax!
