Congrats to Susan Spann who won John Elder Robison’s Be Different!

From the 2011 Debs…

Deb Elise comes back from Hawaii today, and though she’s writing this entry the day before she leaves, she’s confident she had an amazing trip, and is re-energized to dive back into all kinds of fabulous projects.

Deb Eleanor‘s back on the road – tomorrow night in Columbia, MO, Wednesday the 13th in St. Louis, MO, and Saturday the 16th in Orlando!

Deb Sarah has a boatload of news! She recently sold Spanish, book club and audio rights for The Violets of March (yipee!)–have you pre-ordered yet? And, the German-edition cover of her book is not only gorgeous, but it made the cover of the fall hardcover catalog (a division of Random House in Germany)! She also has lovely mentions of the book in the May issues of Redbook and Glamour–woohoo!

Deb Kim is in Southern California this week! Please come see me at Vromans’ on E. Colorado in Pasadena Friday night at 7pm and Border’s South Coast Plaza 3333 Bear Street in Costa Mesa Saturday at 6:30pm.  Details at my website HERE. I’ll also be on ABC in Tasmania via phone this week!

Past Deb News…

In case you missed it, Deb Mia King/Darien Gee’s new novel, Friendship Bread, is out now!

It doesn’t come out until next year, but Deb Tiffany Baker’s The Gilly Salt Sisters is already available for pre-order! (Click the link to see the beautiful cover and a blurb by Deb Eleanor!)

Friends of the Debs…

Deb Dish — Have the Debs Ever Thrown or Received a Surprise Party?

Deb Eleanor

You know what? I don’t think I have thrown, received, or even attended a surprise party. I think they might be mythical creatures, but I am ready to be proven wrong. My birthday is in September. You know. Just in case.

Deb Kim My husband sort of surprised me for my 3oth birthday.  A few friends at a Fridays in Cleveland.  Yes, it was about as great as you’d imagine…  “Hey! I’m30. And in a Fridays. Oh! Balloons!” 😉  He threw another one for my 40tgh – at a lovely Thai restaurant in our town. It would have been a surrprise but our dope neighbors arrived late and I saw Joe walking in with a present bag. We needled him about that for… well, we still do!  For my 50th I’m leaving town.

Deb Sarah

My family threw me a surprising party when I was 16. I felt pretty fab. Nowadays, I think I’d pass on the whole surprise thing in favor of doing the surprising. I loved the surprise 30th b-day part I planned for a dear friend. It was so fun and special!

Deb Tawna

My high school friends threw me a surprise party when I turned 17. They all bought me underwear as gifts. I’m pretty sure there was a reason for that, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was.
