Deb Eileen is pleased to announce Unpredictable is now available in book stores! Here is the most recent review by Parksburg News: Full of madcap humor and misadventures, Sophie is a modern-day Meg Ryan character. She’s sweet, endearing, gets into all kinds of scrapes trying to win back the wrong guy’s affection, and we love her anyway, along with her adorable Scottish terrier, Mac. There’s lots of laugh-out-loud moments and a sweet romance blossoming in the midst of a fun friendship.
Deb Jenny’s tour for the Girlfriend’s Cyber Circuit also begins this week, so look for interviews on the blogs of Karin Gillespie, Melissa Senate, Wendy Tokunaga, Cindy Cruiger, Renee Rosen, Kelly Parra, Joshiyln Jackson , Blossom Kan and Michelle Yu, Jana DeLeon, Sheila Curran, Eileen Meister, Joni Rodgers, Sara Rosett, Becky Motew, Deborah LeBlanc, Laura Florand, Allison Winn Scotch, Toni McGee Causey, Eliza Graham, Judy Merrill Larsen, Colleen Thompson, Jackie Kessler, and Joann Rendell.
Here’s a profile on Sleeping with Ward Cleaver from Charlottesville’s Daily Progress
Here’s a lovely review for SLEEPING WITH WARD CLEAVER from Book Chic: “This book is hilarious! Gardiner is a wonderful, fresh new author on the scene, and definitely has a bright future as a chicklit novelist. Boasting a blurb from mega-writer Meg Cabot on the cover, it’s no surprise that this book is a great piece of fiction. Filled with vivid details (usually containing an interesting way of describing something), believable and relatable characters, and some good insight into marriages, this is one book that will be flying off the shelves!”
And from Bookloons: “American Title III grand prize winner Jenny Gardiner skilfully captures Claire’s many moods as she’s pulled in countless directions while watching the life she always took for granted spiral out of control. Through skilful, sly, and either hilarious or poignant first person observations, Claire shares her frustration, her growing anger, her moments of self-doubt and finally the sobering realization that the fractured state of her marriage isn’t all Ward’s fault. And that to repair those cracks, both of them must put their issues out onto the table and work together to fix them. Sleeping With Ward Cleaver is a fun, cheeky, often candid and thoroughly engaging story that hits on relationship issues to which many readers will relate.”
And lastly, in the Parkersburg News: “Highly relatable characters and situations bring this book straight into suburbia with the reader. Poignant and heartfelt, this book will make you laugh, cry and cheer.”
Thanks to all entrants in the Jenny Gardiner Launch Week contest. The correct answer to the qualifying question “What is Deb Jenny allergic to?” is…housework! Congrats to all of you who answered this question correctly. And the winner of the draw is… Joy Isley! Congratulations, Joy.
Deb friend Bev Katz Rosenbaum just inked a TV/film option deal with Toronto-based Fresh Entertainment (formerly Fresh Animation) for her young adult novels I Was a Teenage Popsicle and Beyond Cool. Fresh, which sells their products to The Family Channel and Teletoon in Canada, and Nickelodeon and Disney in the U.S., is hoping to develop the books into a movie first, then a spinoff series. Huge congrats, Bev!
