From the 2011 Debs…

Deb Sarah has some belated news (since she’s been busy with her new baby and all!): She’s excited to share that last month, the book club rights sold for The Violets of March, and it was also picked by Target for their “Emerging Author” program. Woohoo! Oh, and she can’t remember if she already shared or not, but Deb Sarah also sold her second novel, THE BUNGALOW, to her editor at Penguin (Plume). Deb Sarah also notes that she is currently staying alive by dangerous amounts of caffeine.

Deb Kim I feel like I’m coming out of  hibernation. April is Autism Awareness month and I’m busy planning Spring events. Hope to meet you in NJ, MA, PA, CT, CA (Los Angeles and Costa Mesa) and will have the schedule on my website and my FB page Like HERE.

Deb Eleanor is heading to the west coast next week!  Seattle, Corte Madera, Oakland, San Diego, Manhattan Beach, and Pasadena.  Hope to see you there if you’re local!

Deb Elise spent yesterday with a staggeringly brilliant crew… shooting her trailer for Populazzi!!!!  There’s more info on her site, with the actual trailer to come after post-production!

Past Deb News…

Sarah Pekkanen’s Skipping a Beat was featured in O Magazine, People, and The Washington Post. Go, Deb Sarah!

Deb Dish — The Debs’ Biggest Daylight Savings Time Mess-up

Deb Elise

Um… does this morning count?  I thought I’d get up early and do the News Flash, but I both slept in, AND completely forgot I’d lose an hour with the switch.  Very sorry, everyone!

Deb Eleanor

When I was little, I remember asking my parents one fall if I could keep the extra hour and use it on a different day.  I was quite cross when their answer was no!

Deb Kim

Hmmm, can’t think of one. But I do know that on this particular Sunday morning I get to pretend my kids slept in until… 6:20am! (Mia and Gianna wake up at 5:20 like clockwork.)

Deb Sarah

No mess ups here–just general grumpiness about the whole situation. Why can’t we just keep the time the same. Seriously, do you know how traumatic it is for parents of small children to mess with bedtime/wake times? Do. Not. Like.

Deb Tawna

I’ve been lucky enough to travel the globe as a result of some family connections to the airline industry, but the downside is that I often end up flying standby. Not a big deal most of the time, and I often get lucky enough to snag first class seats. Then there was the time I headed to Spain the morning after daylight savings time. Everyone’s schedule was wonky, and paying customers were missing flights left and right. I ended up getting bumped from several flights out of Salt Lake City, then again in Atlanta. I slept on several airport floors and in one highly questionable hotel room, but eventually made it out and had a lovely month touring Spain, Morocco and Gibraltar.

    1. I live about 3.5 hours from Portland, but I’m over there about once a month anyway for RWA meetings. Would love to meet up!
