Deb Erika‘s little ones were SO excited to receive their very own signed SMALL MEDIUM AT LARGE bookmarks AND glow-in-the-dark bracelets in the mail! Thanks again, Deb Joanne!

Deb Molly’s book comes out on Tuesday, so she’s basically freaking out. If you live in the Madison area, come by Molly’s Hometown Launch Party on Friday night!

Deb Linda got to experience one the most thrilling things in an author’s life: holding her first book in her hands as a real book. The galleys arrived! (If you’d like to win a copy, you have until midnight EDT tonight (Sunday, May 6) to enter an easy-peasy contest on her blog, here.)

Deb Rachel is getting excited about reading at Books & Books in Coral Gables on May 16! Come say hi!

Past Deb News

Deb Kristina shared the news that her upcoming release KEEPSAKE got a STARRED review in Booklist! Yay, Kristina!

Deb Dish – Summer looms! What is one of your favorite beach reads ever?

Deb Joanne – Jennifer Crusie’s BET ME is my fav beach read and is right up there on my top ten fav books of all time. It’s smart and funny and has the sexiest fully-clothed, non-sex sex scene I’ve ever read (the Krispy Kremes on the picnic bench). I re-read this book over and over and I even bought it for my Kindle so I could have it accessible at any time. I’m weird like that.

Deb Erika would have to say VOWS by Lavyrle Spencer–it isn’t set on a beach, but it was the book my best friend and I bought for our senior trip through Greece and we read it aloud religiously to one another each night–INCLUDING several days camping on the beach on Mykonos–so if that doesn’t count as a perfect beach read, I don’t know what does!

Deb Molly I read Philippa Gregory’s Other Boleyn Girl on a beach in Barbados, and it was everything you want in a beach read: sexy, fast-paced, dramatic, and requiring almost no brain power, so you can still understand what’s going on after a long day in the sun. 🙂

Deb Linda Gosh, it’s so difficult to narrow it down! Anything by Kristan Higgins, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, or Jennifer Crusie makes an excellent–and fun!–read, the perfect accompaniment for digging your toes into the sand and sipping an umbrella drink. And my agency sistah, Tawna Fenske, fits right in, too, with her Making Waves and Believe it or Not. And if you have a Kindle, you can’t go wrong with Tawna’s fresh and funny “Active Fiction” mystery, Getting Dumped. I loved being able to choose what happened next at certain crucial decision point. Fun!

Deb Rachel I read American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld while on a summer cruise and it was the perfect choice for me.  Weighty enough to make me feel good (not at all guilty) about being totally addicted, but enough of a page turner to keep me and my beach chair company for days.

  1. Great news, ladies!

And I love everyone’s beach reads. Only now I’m really pining for the surf and sand.

Joanne, we’ll have to talk about where you ordered those bookmarks and bracelets. Was it an online place?

    1. Agreed–we’ve got the reading material, right? Now all we need is the beach, a tube of sunscreen and, er, maybe an umbrella drink or two, or ten… (Hey, Temptation Week is still going, isn’t it? 😉 )

  2. Thanks for some other informative website. The place else may just I get that kind of info written in such an ideal means? I’ve a challenge that I am simply now operating on, and I have been at the look out for such info.
