My Mom is amazing. Five years ago, when I was waiting through a hot New Hampshire summer to give birth to our second child, she came two weeks before my due date, just in case. Then I ended up being two weeks late. She passed the time that month playing with our four-year-old, doing the laundry, and cooking my favorite meals. Normal “good mom” stuff, right? She also: polished the silver, trimmed the hedges, mowed the lawn and retreated the decks. She is unstoppable. Next month, she’s going to travel around the US with us, helping us with the kids while I visit bookstores and book clubs.
Here she is:
Emily my mom is the same way! With each of my kids…I ended up with a c-section and had to stay in the hospital for a week after and she ended up staying three weeks each time! Plus she lives a few hours away and doesn’t miss a sporting event. She’s amazing.
Your mom rocks. Love those pics!
Aren’t Moms amazing? Your Mom is gorgeous – such life and kindness in her face, Emily!
I love the picture of her on the couch. It’s a story in itself.
Your mom IS amazing! I have many, many find memories of being at your house and feeling taken care of by her. She is truly one of the coolest mom’s on earth! (next to you, of course!) See you soon!!
Your mom sounds fantastic! How wonderful to have her joining you on your book tour!
