Still PARTYing! A Q&A with Deb Anna ran in Sirensmag.com’s “Quote This!” section, Eonline wrote about PARTY GIRL in their Cool Stuff section, and Mediabistro gave her Book Soup book party a thumb’s up;

Debutantes Love Librarians!  So Deb Jennifer is going to the 2007 ALA Conference in Washington DC!  On Monday June 25th, she’ll be signing books and meeting folks at the Harper Perennial booth from 10am-11am and then doing more of the same at the Sisters In Crime/Mystery Writers of America booth from 3pm-5pm.

Bitchin’ Reviews!  PROMISE NOT TO TELL got some love this week from the Bookbitch: “a powerful debut that will shake readers to the core… a brilliant mystery.”  And Deb Jennifer has neglected to report some other lovely online reviews in recent weeks, including those from Maximum Horrors (“simply stunning… absolutely riveting”) and Bookreporter.com (“nearly impossible to put down… irresistible”).

Debs on Newsstands! Deb Tish is featured in a full-page piece in Canada’s More magazine, as well as in this month’s Quill and Quire, both on newsstands now.

Debs, Daisys, and Summer Reading! Seize A Daisy’s summer book suggestions continue tomorrow. Slide on by and check out some great reads!

Debs on Film! TOWN HOUSE’S Deb Tish teamed up with THE CONTINUITY GIRL author Leah McLaren, HarperCollins Canada, and BookTV to film a digital short promoting the two books. Check out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLhclyV6Oj0

Debs in the Beds of Strangers! In a brilliant cross-promotion between HarperCollins Canada and Toronto’s urbanely hip Drake Hotel, TOWN HOUSE has been chosen as the Drake’s Book of the Month. Which means every guest receives a copy of the book and the TOWN HOUSE short will be looped through DrakeTV.

Debs in the Sky! The TOWN HOUSE/CONTINUITY GIRL short film will air on Air Canada flights during the month of July!

Deb Friends! Friend of the site Danielle Younge-Ullman’s debut novel FALLING UNDER, called a fresh, spare, beautifully written debut novel about a young woman struggling to break free of a turbulent past and find love, sold to Plume/Penguin at auction! Congratulations, Danielle!

And The Debs are pleased that Jenny Gardiner, debut author of SLEEPING WITH WARD CLEAVER, due out in 2008 from Dorchester, will be guest blogging on Saturday! Do disco over and have a dance with her, hmmm?

  1. Congratulations to everyone! The TOWN HOUSE/CONTINUITY GIRL promo is fantastic — so funny and smart, very nicely done, Tish! How cool is a hotel that has a book of the month? And I love hearing Anna’s and Danielle’s and Jenny’s news… Go, Debs (and friends of the Debs)!

  2. Go Debs, indeed! What a year, huh? Congratulations on all the great things continuing to happen for everyone, and I hope you’ll all look forward to some exciting news from the collective Debutante Ball in coming weeks. Big changes afoot, stay tuned!

  3. Congrats to all on the good news, and thanks for the mention about Falling Under. It’s very exciting to read about this year’s Debs and get an idea of how it all happens. Thanks for sharing with us.

    I saw Tish’s short film at her Drake launch–it’s very cleverly written and well performed by Tish and Leah. And the Drake is, indeed, a very funky hotel.

    Danielle
