Deb Dish – What’s your favorite season, and why?

Deb Amy: I like spring because that’s when I’m motivated to plant and water flowers. After that, notsomuch. And withered flowers and dead veggie plants are not pretty.

Deb Dana: Oooh, tough call. Probably a tie between summer and autumn. I love summer because summer means (a) warm weather and hours of daylight, (b) potential vacations, and (c) corn and tomatoes. Also, my birthday is in the summer. But fall smells like smoke and leaves, allows for apple picking, and heralds the return of the pumpkin spice latte. So really it’s a tie.

Deb Kelly:  It’s always the season I’m in right now… until February. Then it’s spring.

Deb Kerry:  Spring. We live in a land where there are long snowy winters. When spring comes the world gets so green it looks like somebody has been photoshopping. It never fails to feel like a miracle. Of course the other seasons are also pretty spectacular.

Deb Susan: I have to go with autumn – from brightly-colored leaves to the snap in the air that promises winter and holiday fun on the horizon … it’s one of my favorite times of year.

And now it’s YOUR turn to dish with us! What is your favorite season and why do you love it most?

  1. Deb Dana, as follow up on last week’s happenings, inquiring minds want to know if you found interesting things to write about for My Week? Susan – what an awesome title. Now I can’t wait to read Book Three, let alone Book One!

    1. The assignment was due Oct. 11, so “My Week” covered Oct. 1-7 — a few interesting events in there, but nothing off-the-charts unusual. I’ll post the link when it’s up, for sure!

  2. It’s fall for me. Summer heat makes me wilt–fall’s fresh, cool air always comes as such a relief. And the colors! There’s just something I find…I dunnoh, noble and poignant about that last hurrah. The intensely blue skies of October, too–man, there’s nothing like it for me.

  3. I guess my news is that my agent is excited about an on-board with book #2 after reading 30 pages and a synopsis (oh, and a horrid synopsis at that)! 🙂

  4. EVERY season is my favorite season. I start longing for the next one right as the current one is ending. So I’ve been in fall mode for several weeks now and I’m looking forward to that first snow fall. I also love every season for the candy/food that goes with it. Candy pumpkins, sweet potato casserole, christmas cookies…..
