Lori Rader-Day started receiving copy edits from her publisher this week, and made plans for her visit to the Public Library Association’s March conference in Indianapolis, where she will be signing ARCs of THE BLACK HOUR for the first time. And if you’re in a Barnes & Noble, take a look for the new March/April issue of Ellery Queen, with Lori’s story “Over Her Body.”

Natalia Sylvester saw the final jacket design for CHASING THE SUN. She’s fascinated by the side flaps, the back cover, and especially the spine. She’s tempted to print out the pdf her editor sent her and wrap it around a similar-sized book just to get a feel for it…but she’ll be patient (and sane) instead. 

Heather Webb enjoyed a book festival with over 70 authors hosted by The Book Getaway at Mohegan Sun Casino this week. Her panel had a blast talking historical fiction and what it is about those corsets and lack of indoor plumbing that fascinates us. Heather even got a book signed by Dr. Ruth.

Lisa Alber finally got to try the Kilmoon Sour, her novel’s signature cocktail! It goes down so well—not like drinking alcohol at all, hehe. She’ll be featuring it at her launch party. Here’s the recipe!
2 oz. Irish whiskey
3/4 oz. lemon juice
3/4 oz. grenadine
2 dashes Angostura bitters
