News from the 2018 Debs:

Julie Clark had an amazing time up in the Bay Area, doing two book events with Amy Mason Doan at Books, Inc in Alameda, and Rakestraw Books in Danville. Thanks to all who came out to attend!

Kaitlyn Sage Patterson is busy drafting, drafting, drafting a new project, which she’s very excited about.

Cass Morris had a great book signing in Duck, North Carolina! She’s looking forward to spending July hunkered down in work on Book Two, with Camp NaNoWriMo to help keep the pressure on.

Lara Lillibridge  really loves the last day before a manuscript is due—the feeling of excitement mixed with terror, the piles of paper marked up in different colors, and the excuse to tell everyone else to fend for themselves because she has a deadline. Yes, that is an empty container of brownies in the upper left-hand corner of the picture.

Kimmery Martin is recovering from a vicious summer virus, the upside of which is she had a chance to read a few great books.

See you next week when we talk about publishing as a woman.

Author: Julie Clark

Born and raised in Santa Monica, California, Julie Clark grew up reading books on the beach while everyone else surfed. After attending college at University of the Pacific, and a brief stint working in the athletic department at University of California, Berkeley, she returned home to Santa Monica to teach. She now lives there with her two young sons and a golden doodle with poor impulse control. Her debut, THE ONES WE CHOOSE, will be published by Gallery/Simon & Schuster in May 2018.
