Congratulations to Kris Erin Clink, winner of our #DebBallGiveaway of Sarah Kuhn’s Heroine Complex.

News from the 2018 Debs:

Julie Clark had a great time with the Oceanside Moms book club…a very special group near and dear to my heart.

Kaitlyn Sage Patterson is excited to finally be able to share that she’ll be in Greenville, South Carolina for Read Up! Greenville in October!

Cass Morris is drafting. Definitely not working on her tan. Totally drafting.

Lara Lillibridge is making her son read George Orwell’s Animal Farm for summer reading, which she hadn’t read since high school. She listened to it on audible as she drove to WV to refresh her memory. It is so amazing and relevant that she is pestering her son to hurry up and read so they can talk about it. She might have to write a book report of her own.

Kimmery Martin had a blast visiting one of her favorite places: Warwick’s Books in La Jolla, California, the nation’s oldest continuously family-owned and operated bookstore.

See you next week when we talk about balancing expectations with reality in publishing.

Author: Julie Clark

Born and raised in Santa Monica, California, Julie Clark grew up reading books on the beach while everyone else surfed. After attending college at University of the Pacific, and a brief stint working in the athletic department at University of California, Berkeley, she returned home to Santa Monica to teach. She now lives there with her two young sons and a golden doodle with poor impulse control. Her debut, THE ONES WE CHOOSE, will be published by Gallery/Simon & Schuster in May 2018.
