News from the 2018 Debs:

Kimmery Martin escaped the hellish heat of the southeast for the hellish heat of … Southern California? Come join her at Warwick’s Books in La Jolla on Monday July 9th at 7:30!

Julie Clark is trying to stay cool during a Los Angeles heat wave. Please send ice cream.

Kaitlyn Sage Patterson is aiming to hit 45k on her new project this week while being tempted by the siren call of the pool.

Cass Morris has had her best sales week since April! And is also fighting her first anti-piracy battle. Don’t steal books, friends. Just don’t. She’s also delighted that she’s managed to stay on-pace with Camp Nanowrimo, which is good news for the likelihood of having a solid draft of Book Two by the end of summer!

Lara Lillibridge returned to her alma mater, West Virginia Wesleyan College, as part of their Visiting Writer’s series. She really loves this place and the people.

See you next week when we talk about Easter eggs/Hidden Mickeys inside our books.

Author: Julie Clark

Born and raised in Santa Monica, California, Julie Clark grew up reading books on the beach while everyone else surfed. After attending college at University of the Pacific, and a brief stint working in the athletic department at University of California, Berkeley, she returned home to Santa Monica to teach. She now lives there with her two young sons and a golden doodle with poor impulse control. Her debut, THE ONES WE CHOOSE, will be published by Gallery/Simon & Schuster in May 2018.
