News from the Class of 2019 Debs:

K.A. Doore has spent this week celebrating the fact that she has a 2-year-old, complete with cupcakes, pumpkins, and tantrums. Maybe next week she’ll get back to writing.
Devi S. Laskar is going to try to sneak away from her real life and attend some LitQuake events in SF. Oh, and write another essay: this time, on fear.
Layne Fargo is starting a podcast! The Unlikeable Female Characters podcast will feature Layne talking with fellow feminist thriller writers Kristen Lepionka and Wendy Heard about female characters who don’t give a damn if you like them. Follow @UnlikeableFCPod on Twitter for news about the impending launch and other updates.
Stephanie Jimenez is getting in full fall mode. She’s making lots of apple pie this week with recently picked apples from the orchard.
Martine Fournier Watson is nervous because some strangers have alerted her on social media that they are reading her book. Hope they like it!

See you next week when we blog about authors and books that have influenced us.
