News from the Class of 2019 Debs:
K.A. Doore is taking a break from the news to hold her toddler close and, afterwards, she’s going to fill her newest Work in Progress with rage.
Devi S. Laskar is writing an essay about the toppling of Silent Sam and the courage of her classmate, from undergrad, Christine Blasey Ford.
Layne Fargo is proofreading the first pass pages of Temper by having her computer’s text-to-speech read the whole book to her in a robot voice. It’s an excruciating process, but worth it to catch all the typos!
Stephanie Jimenez is scheduling a time to take her official author photo this weekend (say baiiii to this beauteous face to the left!!!) She’s also looking forward to the fact that so many magazines have open submission periods now. For a great list, check out Entropy.
Martine Fournier Watson is still plugging away at book two. It’s at about 96k words, which is…much longer than The Dream Peddler at this stage. |
See you next week when we talk about every writer’s favorite topic, rejection and failure!
