Sleepy… Soooooooooo Sleepy

These are not the feet of my babies. I have not had time to find the camera.

I’m not sure what the topic for this week is. I’m not even sure what week it is.

Because, twins.

This is a snapshot of what’s going through my brain right now: babiescrying milk bottles diapers hungryagain morecrying morediapers morecrying sleepy sleepy mewantsleep whencanIsleep????sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

So, taking a quick hiatus from the blog this week and hopefully will be back next week with more coherent thoughts in some semblance of an order.

Thank you to everyone for the well wishes! Now, please send sleep fairies to my house.

  1. Oh Colleen! I was just mid breastfeeding my 1 month old, saw your email pop up and had to laugh at the subject line – then I was blown away at how apt the content was! I’ll keep it short so we both can go back to sleep sometime soon, but yeah, so hearin ya sister! Tfor a post that spoke my thoughts exactly and gave me heaps of warm fuzzies on a day I really needed them. Best of luck!

  2. This is why I love the Debutante Ball blog! The lovely honesty in reading a post by a woman who is accepting, celebrating and being hopeful about the perpetual state of exhaustion all new mom’s experience. It’s been a few years.. my “baby” just turned 18. But now that I think about it, I’m tired all over again staying up late “waiting” for him to come in at night! Sigh…

    1. Thank you, Dianne! And yes — I just told my husband that it’s going to be 18 years (or more) of sleepless nights. I get panic attacks just thinking of them leaving the house one day! 🙂
